Maggie is mother to James and Rosie and wife to Ben. Before becoming a mom, Maggie worked in parachurch youth ministry at an organization supporting students in a housing project complex in Memphis while her husband attended medical school at University of Tennessee. During his surgical residency, Maggie worked with first generation college students as an academic coach at the University of Memphis. When her family moved to Baltimore for Ben's vascular surgery fellowship, Maggie became heavily involved as a leader in their church children's ministry while also teaching third grade at a local charter school. She recently moved to Houston for Ben's cardiothoracic surgery fellowship. Maggie enjoys spending time outside, playing board games, and exploring new places in Houston with her family. Maggie is passionate about helping children and families grow in their knowledge and love of Christ to welcome people into community with Christians and to help them learn about God’s purpose for their lives and this world. She is excited to bring her experience and energy in her role as Director of Family Ministries.
