Abby Jones is the second eldest of six children and spent much of her childhood moving around between Virginia and Texas until her family settled in Houston, where they have lived for the last nine years. Raised in a Christian home, she came to Christ as a preteen at Christ Presbyterian Church in Dallas, Texas. She studied English at Houston Christian University and was a member of the Honors College, where she was able to pursue her passion for reading and writing and discussing great works of literature. She owes her love of learning to her parents and to her mother in particular, who homeschooled her through all twelve grades. Abby attended Advent during her senior year at HCU, and she is very excited for the opportunity to serve the community which has blessed her in her new role as Director of Children’s Ministry.
